TRIGO by Jack Alberts

'I’m a 27-year-old artist and graphic designer based in Newcastle upon Tyne. My background is in illustration, heavily shaped by the things I grew up obsessed with—East Coast hip-hop, 90s cartoons, and graffiti. I spent most of my early years sketching characters in blackbooks and experimenting with hand-drawn work, and that foundation naturally fed into the way I approach digital design now.

Over time, my focus shifted from characters to letterforms and typography, which pushed my practice in a new direction. That evolution eventually led me to start Trigo—a studio centred on branding and creative work within the music industry.

My work still pulls from the cultures and visuals that influenced me early on. I try to blend illustration, type, and graphic design into something that feels personal, grounded, and intentional'
